Temple Beth Shalom’s Sisterhood is a diverse group of women comprising all ages and generations. Through Sisterhood membership and our program participation we provide opportunities to deepen our connections to one another and to Judaism and Israel.
We have events to socialize with others in our community while learning something new. If you are interested in engagement through service there are varied opportunities available. Some of our annual initiatives such as our Hanukkah Bazaar, the Congregational Seder, Onegs, and preparing some of our programs need volunteers.
Our Judaica Shop has unique Jewish-themed and Israeli-made items and gifts for all occasion and for the entire family. Stop by and browse through our many items.
We present diverse programs each year including field trips, Israeli Embassy and Library of Congress, movies, speakers, an annual Tea and a monthly Book Club. We organize Mahjongg Mondays at the temple. We also present a gift to every Bar and Bat Mitzvah student. We provide the Yom Kippur Break-fast very year, we also provide matching funds during Temple Beth Shaloms’ Annual Appeal and coordinate the Interfaith Sukkah Dinner.
Our events are open to the entire community, not only TBS members. Our Sisterhood works together to strengthen our temple and each other, and to perpetuate Judaism.
